Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or significant experience directly managing engineering-based projects.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the automation or engineering services industry.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience with budget responsibility.
  • A comprehensive understanding of project management best practices and processes.
  • Proficiency with common project management tools, including Microsoft Teams, Excel, and timeline tracking.
  • Financial and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to stay highly organized and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with risk management and proactive mitigation planning.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%–20% annually.
Responsibilities
  • Follow active equipment projects from customer order through completion.
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet customer, quality, and cost goals.
  • Review project requirements and identify scope changes.
  • Execute customer milestones and coordinate all relevant resources.
  • Interact with suppliers and cross-functional team members from Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Manufacturing to solicit input and establish project proposals.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members proactively.
  • Prepare and communicate project status meetings and escalate critical issues.
  • Manage customer relationships and requests professionally.
  • Communicate project developments in real time with Axis departments.
  • Support other company-wide projects and departments as needed.
  • Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution.
  • Complete lessons-learned evaluations to improve future projects.
  • Travel to support project milestones, meet customers, and support occasional proposal activities.
  • Actively embody and uphold Axis Automation’s ten Operating Principles.
