About the Job

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold a Class A commercial driver's license.
  • Must have 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last year.
  • Must have a clean driving record with a proven safe-driving history.
  • Must not have a DUI or OWI in the last 5 years.
  • Must have no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Must have no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
  • Must have time-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Secure and handle freight properly, which may include loading and unloading depending on the employer.
  • Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
  • Communicate with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
  • Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits.
