Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Have at least two years of radiologic or multi-modality experience in two or more imaging modalities.
  • Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), including ARRT Advanced Modality Registration.
  • Be licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross-recognized equivalent.
  • Maintain and renew ARRT registration, the state license, Basic Life Support certification, PPD, respirator fit testing, and point-of-care training.
  • Be fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and familiar with age-specific criteria.
  • Produce high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities.
  • Explain imaging procedures effectively to patients and ensure they are competent in the procedure being performed.
  • Produce images for interpretation or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • Rotate flexibly across advanced imaging modalities.
