Atria Health and Research Institute

View

Atria Health and Research Institute delivers personalized preventive medicine through a membership-based clinical practice, while its nonprofit think tank, the Atria Research and Global Health Institute, advances preventive medicine through original research and strategic partnerships. How it works: it combines longitudinal studies with evidence-based, individualized care to move from reactive sick care to proactive prevention; it asks, “What is biologically possible?” and translates leading science into medical practice for patients. How it differs: it integrates a clinical practice with a global research effort focused on closing gaps in care, emphasizing collaboration, real-world implementation, and broad access to prevention-based medicine, rather than just offering standard treatment. Goal: prevent disease and extend healthy life for all by turning cutting-edge science into practical, scalable medical care.

Vero Bioscience and Atria Health and Research Institute announce study to measure impact of GLP-1 treatment on proteomic brain age.

Vero Bioscience and Atria Health and Research Institute announce study to measure impact of GLP-1 treatment on proteomic brain age. Part of an ongoing collaboration to validate next-generation organ-aging biomarkers in preventive medicine Vero Bioscience, a predictive health company on a mission to end age-related chronic disease, and Atria Health & Research Institute, a leading health care practice and research institute dedicated to precision preventive medicine, today announced a six-month study to evaluate how the brain responds to GLP-1 (Tirzepatide) treatments. As the first initiative in a broader collaboration between Vero and Atria, this study integrates Vero's OrganAge(TM) advanced proteomics technology to measure intervention response, going beyond traditional measures of overall biological age. The study brings together Atria's research-driven clinical practice and Vero's proteomic OrganAge platform, built on technology developed at Stanford by Vero co-founder Tony Wyss-Coray, PhD. Wyss-Coray's research showed that measuring organ-specific proteomic signatures in blood plasma can reveal distinct aging rates of individual organs. This collaboration is a critical step in moving those discoveries from the laboratory to clinical practice - and to the people they could help. "Traditional biological aging clocks reduce a person to a single aggregate number. They may suggest someone is aging faster than expected, but not where or why, which leaves clinicians without a target," said Dr. David Dodick, a neurologist and the Chief Science and Medical Officer at Atria. "We are working with Vero because their proteomic platform resolves aging at the level of individual organ and cellular systems. Applied to the brain, it gives us a quantitative, plasma-based signature of brain aging that we can track over time. This gives us a measurable benchmark for evaluating how specific interventions influence the trajectory of brain aging, and ultimately for determining which of them meaningfully protect the brain." "To establish Vero OrganAge as the gold standard for measuring organ health, we need clinical validation showing that the changes in protein patterns we measure reflect meaningful improvements in human health," said Paul Coletta, co-founder and CEO at Vero. "Atria's commitment to rigorous, preventive medicine makes them an ideal partner, and this collaboration is an important step toward demonstrating that we can objectively measure the impact of clinical interventions on organ health." The initial study has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval. It will test whether Vero's plasma proteomic signatures accurately track changes in brain organ age in response to intervention, and whether those changes correspond with established clinical biomarkers of brain health. Specifically, the study investigates whether intervention with Tirzepatide translates into measurable changes in the aging trajectory of the brain and related organ systems over time. Dr. Bart Demaerschalk, a neurologist and Chief Digital Health Officer at Atria, elaborated on the collaborative research: "We will track how targeted clinical interventions impact biological age over time. Alongside measuring baseline-to-conclusion changes in brain aging via Vero's proteomic platform, our research will measure blood biomarkers of neurodegeneration, inflammation, endothelial function, cardiometabolic health, immunosenescence, neurovascular imaging markers, as well as wearable-derived measures of sleep, autonomic function, and physical activity. This multi-dimensional approach will allow us to map true biological rejuvenation with unprecedented resolution." About Vero Bioscience Vero Bioscience is a predictive health company on a mission to end age-related chronic disease. Built on groundbreaking Stanford University research, Vero uses advanced proteomics and machine learning to measure organ and cellular health from a single blood draw. Vero's OrganAge(TM) test is the entry point to Vero Compass(TM)- a biological intelligence system that translates complex biological signals into actionable insights that help clinicians and individuals intervene earlier and track meaningful improvement over time. Backed by leading scientific and clinical advisors, Vero is building the next era of predictive health to empower people to prevent disease and extend healthspan. Epstein paid Trump ally Steve Bannon's medical bills.

Epstein paid Trump ally Steve Bannon's medical bills. A new report reveals that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein allegedly paid the medical bills for Trump ally Steve Bannon. Published on May 11, 2026 A new financial link between one of President Donald Trump's closest allies and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been revealed within a document from the files of the deceased financier from 2018. The document from the released packet of files contains a text message exchange between Epstein and far-right conservative Steve Bannon, who is one of Trump's closest allies and a former strategist. In the conversation which ranges from June 29 to July 3, the two discuss various topics, including Bannon's personal health. Epstein volunteered the personal cellphone number of Dr. Bernard Kruger, a health practitioner based in Manhattan, New York City, to Bannon. "I need to keep you WITH prostate," Epstein wrote. "Kruger is super confidential." Kruger would step down from his roles at the Atria Health and Research Institute and Sollis Health in March, after his ties to Epstein were revealed. According to reporting from the New York Times, he allegedly provided private emergency room services to Epstein in an annual membership worth $15 million. "Great," Bannon replied. In response, Epstein added: "Your medical expenses from a to z have been covered by me - least I could do," to which Bannon responded, "Stop!" Another document showing iMessages between Epstein and director and actor Woody Allen also showed more correspondence between Epstein and Bannon, with both of their names redacted. That conversation, highlighted by Big True Crime podcaster Heather Ashley in a post on the Threads social media network, also showed one striking comment by Epstein regarding a possible dinner with Bannon and Allen, where Epstein asked, "Too many pedos in one place?" The resurgence of mentions of Bannon with regards to Epstein come as there is a consistent push for the Trump administration to release more of the Epstein files without any redactions. The released documents concerning Bannon and Epstein contain their correspondence until 2019.
