About the Company

Amprius Technologies

Produces silicon-anode, high-energy lithium-ion cells

Amprius Technologies develops high-energy lithium-ion batteries using a silicon-anode cell that reaches about 500 Wh/kg, roughly twice the energy density of typical cells. The batteries store more energy per kilogram and per liter, and the cells are built into modules and packs to power devices, including electric vehicles, while prioritizing safety and cycle life. It differentiates itself with a patented silicon-anode technology, endurance records, and plans for a Gigawatt-hour-scale factory in Colorado to enable large-scale production. The goal is to become a leading supplier of high-energy, lightweight batteries for electric mobility and other applications, scaling manufacturing to meet growing demand.
