Requirements
- A solid programming background in Java and Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) for implementing web technologies, with strong understanding of jQuery, AngularJS, and Twitter Bootstrap.
- Experience with Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), Spring frameworks including Hibernate and Jackson, multithreaded software design, Oracle databases using PL/SQL, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript, Representational State Transfer (REST), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
- Strong knowledge of server-side design patterns and continuous delivery principles.
- Strong customer focus, problem-solving and analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of development concepts and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business analyst, quality assurance, and product partners for effective testing and delivery.
- Break down complex features and stories into well-understood and achievable tasks.
- Design, develop, code, test, debug, and document applications to satisfy requirements.
- Mentor other team members to support their progress in technical and professional skills.
- Participate in retrospectives to drive continuous improvement within the feature team.
- Adhere to information technology control policies throughout design, development, and testing, and incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications.
- Engineer a platform with an emphasis on rapid iteration and creative problem solving.
- Prototype creative solutions quickly and collaborate with others to craft and implement a technical vision.
- Contribute to and collaborate in the creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions while working with existing technologies and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive them from concept to implementation.
