  • Rising third and fourth year undergraduates and graduate students in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and related fields
  • Moderate experience using ROS (Robot Operating System), preferably ROS 2
  • Experience with Linux, Python, shell scripting, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with a strong emphasis on technical communication
Responsibilities
  • Produce content for the ROS community to help hardware manufacturers produce products that support ROS out of the box
  • Build a comprehensive list of robots and robot components available to ROS developers
  • Collaborate with organizations to understand industry best practices for hardware support in robotic applications
  • Produce technical guides, websites, and potentially ROS Extension Proposals (REPs) outlining best practices for robot hardware developers
  • Develop skills in community management and developer communication to present works to the broader ROS community
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with code documentation and testing techniques
  • Familiarity with Python libraries like Numpy and Pandas
  • Fluency or proficiency in a foreign language
