Requirements
  • The candidate must have a Medical Degree.
  • The candidate must have a Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
  • The candidate must have a Body Imaging Fellowship.
  • The candidate must be American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible.
  • The candidate must hold or be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
  • The candidate must have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology.
Responsibilities
  • Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
  • Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations and perform some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference.
  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
  • Be part of the on-call radiology schedule.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and abdominal imaging.
  • Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested.
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of abdominal radiology.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
  • UHealth-related teaching and participation in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and attendance at seminars and other educational lectures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology.
  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting is preferred but not required.
