Requirements
  • Two or more years of relevant inspection experience in the telecommunications, construction, or utilities industries, or equivalent applicable experience in a lower-level role.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Android operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment relevant to inspections, such as an Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, and sitting; lifting up to 50 pounds less than one-third of the time; sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods; and working in extreme hot or cold environments for lengthy periods.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect work performed by client employees, internal employees, and client subcontractors for process and specification compliance against company or client guidelines.
  • Inspect assigned work locations for compliance with client or company specifications and guidelines, including work safety, installation, and troubleshooting compliance.
  • Use appropriate testing equipment based on client specifications.
  • Assist in preparing and developing inspection instructions and procedures.
  • Develop and create project-specific checklists and standards.
  • Record and document inspection results and findings in applicable data sheets and forms.
  • Complete and submit inspection documentation to appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Complete inspections in a timely manner and track and report activities and metrics.
  • Drive safely to work sites and comply with company and client safety standards.
  • Follow company and client standards using related technical documentation.
  • Deliver feedback and supplemental training to employees and contractors as required.
  • Travel up to 100% to field work sites and work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential is preferred.
  • Proficiency with an Android tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with a major Multichannel Video Programming Distributor (MSO) or telecommunications operator is preferred.
