Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in HR or related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Experience working with unionized workforce preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with HRIS system, Lawson preferred
  • Excellent organizational, data management, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent eye for detail
Responsibilities
  • Assisting Benefits Manager with new-hire orientations
  • Preparing and holding presentations for employees to educate about the benefits program
  • Determining eligibility and distributing all benefits enrollment materials
  • Ensuring accuracy of benefits enrollments in HRIS
  • Enrolling employees and maintaining online database information for vendors/partners
  • Performing quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Responding to benefits inquiries from managers and employees
  • Maintaining spending accounts internal and vendor database for commuter, health, and dependent care programs
  • Maintaining employee and employee funding for Health Savings Accounts
  • Responding to staff 403(b) inquiries
  • Responding to requests for pension estimates and processing pension applications
  • Providing necessary reports and support for allocation/billing charges and invoice payments
  • Providing routine and ad hoc reporting to Finance team
  • Assisting in the exit process of employees
  • Ensuring distribution of required employee notices
  • Staying up to date with laws and regulations on employee benefits
  • Assisting Benefits Manager with open enrollment process
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
