Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.
- Diesel engine experience is required.
- Written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Microsoft Office skills are required.
- Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs is required.
- Ability to use computers for web-based training and the work order system is required.
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment while maintaining a professional and confident relationship with the customer is required.
- A strong mechanical aptitude is required.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation-approved physical is required.
- Ability to meet requirements for certifications is required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair refrigeration units and auxiliary power units.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all components.
- Interface positively with service writers, the leadership team, the parts department, drivers, vendors, and customers.
- Keep paperwork updated and submit it upon completion.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Meet and maintain labor-efficiency goals.
Desired Qualifications
- A technical degree or certification is a plus.
