Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of project management experience within the industry or related fields is required.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook, is required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, building information modeling, and Navisworks is required.
  • The role requires effective verbal and written communication with all organizational levels, contractors, and other engineers.
  • The role requires strong organizational, planning, prioritization, time-management, and interpersonal abilities, with close attention to detail.
  • The employee must follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
  • The employee must wear required protective equipment in areas where it is mandatory.
  • The employee must be willing to travel weekly.
  • The employee must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • The employee must be able to work in cold, humid, dry, and dusty environments.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee capital projects and manage and monitor all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Plan, design, budget, install, and manage contractors and vendors for assigned capital projects.
  • Report project status, improvement opportunities, budget status, and problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule to the Director of Engineering.
  • Provide project leadership covering safety, cost control, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, and team dynamics.
  • Estimate and establish project budgets, track job costs, and complete project closeout.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, monitor, and manage engineering projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Serve as project manager for scope development, detailed design, budget development, contractor selection, and project execution oversight.
  • Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules for multiple capital projects simultaneously.
  • Predict the resources needed to achieve objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct cost analyses and estimate expected project costs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Interact with internal customers to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Develop working relationships with coworkers, facility managers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Make onsite visits to coordinate with contractors during project development and implementation.
  • Inform the project team and contractors promptly about construction schedule changes and work with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Use approved consulting engineers for stamped drawings and technical details.
  • Identify and develop engineering plans for sustainability.
