About the Role

This is a foundational role within a newly-formed unit that focuses on data-driven, programmatic underwriting.  You will directly report to the Head of Underwriting.  

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform credit underwriting of CPG companies, utilizing bank, accounting, and ecommerce data.
• Manage the entire underwriting process from information collection and due diligence to financial modeling and decisioning.
• Effectively communicate application requirements and status verbally and in writing.
• Update accounting and bank data across all portfolio companies each month.
• Build and maintain systems for risk monitoring and credit-limit adjustments. 
• Assist other Credit team members on all aspects of underwriting, portfolio management, and ad hoc projects as needed.

Your Skillset:

• 3+ years in a credit underwriting or risk management role at an investment bank, credit fund, B2B payments/fintech company, or similar institution.
• 2+ years of experience with three-statement financial modeling and credit analysis.
• Capable of operating in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Extreme intellectual and personal integrity.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Ownership mentality.
• Bonus points if you have an advanced degree in a quantitative field and/or prior experience in the CPG sector.

In compliance with local law, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on experience, level, skills, and other factors. In addition to base salary, Ampla offers competitive benefits such as 100% employer paid premiums for employee’s medical/dental/vision and 50% for dependents, paid parental leave, flexible PTO policy, 401(k), and equity packages.
