Requirements
  • At least 6 years of product management experience, including demonstrated work building AI/ML-powered products, data products, or workflow-automation solutions.
  • A demonstrable example of entering an unfamiliar domain, mapping its workflows, identifying AI leverage points, and shipping something measurable.
  • Strong process-decomposition skills, including the ability to map workflows in detail and score steps by volume, variance, and verifiability.
  • Working comprehension of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, prompt engineering, and evaluation design; coding or model-training ability is not required.
  • Experience designing evaluations, blind reviews, A/B tests, and acceptance criteria and iterating against evidence.
  • Data literacy, including comfort with SQL and analytics tools for defining metrics and informing decisions.
  • Change-management and stakeholder-translation experience getting non-technical teams to adopt AI-driven ways of working.
  • Ability to recall specific metrics from shipped products, such as hallucination rate, retrieval precision, task success rate, and latency.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and managing a product backlog.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to explain probabilistic systems to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Map and decompose existing business workflows end-to-end, identifying steps that are high-volume, high-variance, and verifiable before deciding where AI belongs.
  • Reimagine processes around AI rather than adding AI to current steps, prioritizing opportunities by volume, variance, and verifiability.
  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for a portfolio of AI applications and data products aligned to business objectives.
  • Size AI opportunities using conservative, evidence-based return-on-investment assumptions and target tasks whose outputs can be reliably graded.
  • Partner with data science and machine learning engineering to translate predictive analytics, natural language processing, large language model/generative AI, and agentic solutions into reliable, production-grade products.
  • Design evaluation criteria and acceptance thresholds; establish evaluations, blind review panels, and large-language-model-as-judge methods; and monitor hallucination, bias drift, and model degradation in production.
  • Architect human-in-the-loop workflows with expert review built in, expanding automation only after each phase is proven.
  • Productize proprietary data assets into defined data products such as application programming interfaces, data feeds, datasets, dashboards, and embedded analytics.
  • Write product requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria; maintain and prioritize the product backlog within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Define success metrics and key performance indicators, including adoption, task success rate, model performance, revenue, and return on investment, and use data to measure outcomes and continuously improve products.
  • Drive change management and adoption by bridging data scientists and business owners and helping non-technical stakeholders adopt AI-changed workflows.
  • Champion responsible AI with data science, risk, and compliance through model governance, bias and fairness, explainability, model risk, and data quality practices.
  • Ensure products meet regulatory and data-governance requirements relevant to mortgage and financial services, including MISMO, FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, and applicable privacy standards.
  • Communicate roadmap, trade-offs, progress, and results to cross-functional partners and executive leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree such as an MBA or a product/Agile certification such as Pragmatic Institute, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with a workflow or process platform such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Workato, Celonis, or UiPath.
  • Experience launching generative AI, large-language-model-based, or agentic products or features.
  • A background in operations management, management consulting, analytics/data, or growth/experimentation product management.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and modern data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Understanding of human-in-the-loop design, model monitoring, drift detection, and responsible-AI frameworks.
  • Exposure to mortgage technology, capital markets, or financial services.
  • A computer science degree.
  • Ability to code or train models.
  • Prior expertise in mortgage or financial services.

NYSE parent ICE invests in tZERO, licenses 103 blockchain patents for tokenised securities platform

Intercontinental Exchange, parent of the New York Stock Exchange, has signed agreements with tZERO to build infrastructure for a tokenised securities platform. tZERO will serve as design partner for digital transfer-agent and broker-dealer systems supporting on-chain settlement. ICE will invest in tZERO's latest funding round and license its blockchain patent portfolio, which spans 23 patent families and 103 patents covering token lifecycles, compliance-aware transfer logic, and smart contract frameworks. tZERO is expected to seek approval as a digital transfer agent on ICE's NYSE-affiliated Digital Trading Platform. The companies will also evaluate using tZERO's tokenised assets for collateral management across ICE's clearing houses. The partnership marks tZERO's deepest tie to a major exchange operator. No timeline for regulatory approval or platform launch was disclosed.

Entrepreneur bought near-bankrupt firm from Buffett for $1,000, built it into $85B giant

Jeffrey Sprecher, founder and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange, purchased a failing company from Warren Buffett's MidAmerican Energy for $1,000 in 1997, despite Buffett having invested $35 million in it. Sprecher, who had no Wall Street experience, used it to build what would become Intercontinental Exchange. Starting in 2000 with nine employees in Atlanta, Sprecher lived in a 500-square-foot studio flat and drove a used car whilst building the business. He handled menial tasks like taking out rubbish and answering phones. Today, Intercontinental Exchange has a market capitalisation of $85 billion and employs over 12,000 people. The company has owned the New York Stock Exchange for more than a decade. Sprecher's net worth now stands at $1.2 billion.
