Production Machine Operator
About the job
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Adhere to environmental, health and safety requirements and company safety policies and procedures.
- Achieve certification to operate independently within four months of hire to achieve PA 2 level.
- Use a personal computer for email, data entry, and system navigation.
- Perform unit conversions, such as linear inches to linear yards to square yards.
- Use basic measurement tools, including tape measures and rulers.
- Lift 60-pound shafts, maneuver 400-pound rolls, and pack or palletize cartons weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Produce all products to the standard rate.
- Retrieve and apply quality information and comply with quality management system policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Demonstrate commitment to assigned tasks.
- Be willing to share input to improve manufacturing processes.
- Operate diverse production equipment, including industrial printing and sewing machines and web-converting systems.
- Adjust processes to meet quality standards.
- Perform quality checks and collect quality data as required.
- Enter production quantities and material usage into Syteline.
- Participate on the mat line process improvement team.
- Participate in lean manufacturing improvement workshops and training events.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned or directed.
