Requirements

  • Depending on the internship role, prior course or internship experience or knowledge may be required in operating systems, multithreaded debugging, Linux kernel development, real-time operating systems development on embedded platforms, data structures and algorithms, computer networking, low-level programming, network security, cryptography, computer systems architecture, microcontroller and microprocessor fundamentals, graphics theory and implementation, compiler construction and development, open-source programming, high-performance computing, automation tools, firmware, embedded systems, real-time performance, and multi-threaded or multi-process programming.
  • Depending on the internship role, programming and technology experience may include C, C++, C++17, CUDA, x86, Perl, ARM CPUs, GPUs, embedded C, Linux, Linux kernel development, Bash or shell scripting, 2D and 3D graphics, rendering, shaders, formal verification tools, computer networking, open-source tools, testing and production automation tools, and microprocessor fundamentals.
Responsibilities
  • Define, design, and develop integrated and discrete GPU system software components, including runtimes and math libraries, with a focus on power and performance, and create architecture and design specifications.
  • Harden and develop secure solutions across the software stack, from multi-node supercomputers to microcontrollers and security coprocessors.
  • Build tools and infrastructure to scale software security efforts across large organizations and codebases.
  • Design and implement OpenGL, OpenGL ES, and Vulkan graphics drivers, platform support, and conformance tests for new hardware features in collaboration with software, hardware, architecture, and support teams.
  • Train and debug issues within the Tegra graphics software stack.
  • Work on deep-learning compiler technology, including architecture design and support through functional languages.
  • Investigate compiler backend problems and optimization opportunities and work with compiler, hardware, and application teams to oversee improvements and resolve problems.
  • Support development of firmware running on embedded microcontrollers within GPUs while optimizing software for system robustness, performance, and security.
  • Test new and existing firmware and develop tools and infrastructure to improve front-end design and verification processes.
  • Work on projects with a measurable impact on the business during the 12-week full-time internship.

Nvidia raises Q3 revenue guidance to $108B, but margin squeeze from memory costs dampens investor reaction

NVIDIA and CU Healthcare Innovation Fund invest in Verily Health's AI platform expansion

Verily Health has secured additional investment from NVIDIA and existing backer CU Healthcare Innovation Fund II. The funding extends Verily's March fundraising round. Current investors include Alphabet, Series X Capital, and UCHealth. The investment supports scaling of Verily's Pre Platform, a data and AI platform helping healthcare organisations deploy AI across research and care. It also backs Verily Me, the company's patient engagement offering. Verily and NVIDIA previously announced a collaboration in October 2025. Nvidia CEO declares AGI achieved with OpenAI's Astra, but markets remain unmoved

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared over the weekend that artificial general intelligence has arrived, citing OpenAI's newest model Astra.
