  • Recognized Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in the design, construction and commissioning of industrial and commercial electrical systems within a major capital project / program.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience of defining functional and technical specifications in line with business requirements and thorough working knowledge of requirements management.
  • Knowledge of scope definition, project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling, testing, commissioning, project turnover, quality control and reporting.
  • Thorough working knowledge of 27kV and 44kV distribution systems, power distribution systems and combined cycle cogeneration plants operating in parallel with the Utility.
  • Thorough working knowledge of airfield lighting, arc flash, system safety design; electrical design/construction; operations and maintenance.
  • Understanding of stakeholder / regulatory requirements including ICAO, Transport Canada Aerodrome Standards, airport operations (tenants, airlines, and travelers), HRDC (Fire Commissioner of Canada), Underwriters Laboratories (ULC), Code Consultants, and Health & Safety Consultants.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55001 Asset Management standard.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office 365, project scheduling software, Maximo, ProjectWise, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Provides advice, guidance and subject matter expertise throughout the planning, design, and delivery of the program as it relates to electrical systems design and construction including compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Ensures that electrical systems design and construction comply with technical requirements, including design reviews, submittal reviews, and testing.
  • Conducting Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews for all proposed renovations, alterations, maintenance work and new construction.
  • Providing non-resident engineering expertise through field inspections during various stages of construction.
  • Support the development of governance and process documentation with respect to the program’s practices for electrical systems engineering.
  • Assesses alternative technical proposals submitted by the contractor and provides feedback as to the feasibility of the proposal and alignment to client requirements.
  • Coordinates the technical elements of the program with respect to electrical systems engineering including establishing targets / goals for the program.
  • Coordinates the interface between other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure integration and coordination across programs, facilities, and assets.
  • Reviews deliverables submitted by the contractor / designer and confirms compliance to the relevant requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Monitors the input of the designer throughout the construction phase (RFIs, shop drawings, material approvals, mock-up approvals, punch list, etc.
  • Provides Management level progress reports and briefings with respect to electrical systems design progress, issues, and opportunities.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of staff.

The company completed the sale of its remaining Highway 407 interest for $2.60 billion and secured an investment-grade credit rating, enhancing financial flexibility for growth in engineering and nuclear services. Management maintained 2026 guidance for 5-7% organic revenue growth in engineering services and projected $2.50 billion in nuclear revenue. The company's narrative projects CA$12.80 billion revenue and CA$896.40 million earnings by 2028, requiring 7.4% annual revenue growth. AtkinsRéalis Group, a world-class engineering services and nuclear company, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $2.9 billion, up 13% year-over-year, with full-year revenue reaching $11.0 billion, up 14%. AtkinsRéalis Services revenue increased 17% in Q4 and 16% for the full year. The company achieved diluted earnings per share from Professional Services & Project Management of $2.14 for 2025, up 80%, whilst adjusted diluted EPS reached $3.36, up 88%. Full-year operating cash flow totalled $461 million, and backlog reached a record $21.2 billion as at 31 December 2025. For 2026, AtkinsRéalis expects Engineering Services Regions organic revenue growth of 5-7% and Nuclear revenue of approximately $2.5 billion. Operating cash flow is projected at roughly $500 million.

Ferrovial Buys 5.06% 407 ETR Stake
