Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development certification is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in electroencephalography and video electroencephalography monitoring is required.
  • Completion of a Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation Program accredited by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists is required.
  • Successful completion of a national registry examination through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists is required.
  • Current American Heart Association cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Basic Life Support certifications are required.
  • Annual respirator fit testing is required.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise all neurophysiology laboratory personnel.
  • Oversee the technical operations of the neurophysiology laboratory.
  • Manage clerical tasks related to laboratory functions.
  • Support and participate in staff training and development.
  • Review and evaluate requests for neurophysiological tests, including electroencephalography, video electroencephalography monitoring, transcranial Doppler, evoked potentials, and nerve conduction studies/electromyography.
  • Advise physicians on appropriate procedures and test protocols.
  • Select, program, and maintain equipment needed for diagnostic studies.
  • Ensure all tests are properly performed and meet quality standards for interpretation.
  • Perform or assist with neurophysiology procedures as needed.
  • Apply advanced-level knowledge and skills to care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
