  • A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or another closely related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental disabilities, and/or emotional disabilities is desired.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory and/or quality assurance experience is required.
  • A valid Indiana driver's license and a driving record meeting Damar's insurance eligibility requirements are required for positions involving driving.
  • Candidates must have no felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.
  • Candidates must favorably meet and maintain Damar's background-screening requirements.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old per licensure requirements.
  • Candidates must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods and occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must be able to operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard, travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation, and communicate effectively to exchange information.
  • Candidates must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies, including aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, or elopement behaviors.
  • Candidates must maintain regular and acceptable attendance and perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee Damar's community-based services, including program quality, audits, staffing, financial processes, and outcomes.
  • Ensure that services adhere to governing-body and referral-source standards, including standards from DCS, Medicaid, and commercial insurance providers.
  • Communicate standards to team members for the creation and modification of programming and procedures.
  • Assist with consultation and service to other clinical programs throughout Damar.
  • Ensure steady growth of community-based programming while maintaining quality.
  • Edit and format documentation to meet state standards.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and other assigned meetings.
  • Participate in and/or oversee data collection and use data to improve outcomes, practices, and service delivery.
  • Work with Damar's PQI department to ensure quality-assurance audits of the community-based program occur.
  • Maintain positive and appropriate relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Complete and update mandatory training and other licensure-related items in a timely manner.
  • Complete incident reports, including reports of suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of clients.
  • Review governing standards and produce timely, high-quality responses to requests for proposals and other appropriate service opportunities.
  • Ensure that the agency meets its quality-improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
  • Ensure that programming meets financial benchmarks.
