Flexxon partners with Tech4Biz Solutions to develop secure-by-default server infrastructure

Flexxon partners with Tech4Biz Solutions to develop secure-by-default server infrastructure 20 Oct, 2026, 15:56 IST As organizations move toward building their own servers to run AI systems, the two companies are working to ensure purpose-built infrastructure and security operate together. Singapore and Bengaluru, India, 20 October, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Flexxon, a leader in secure memory storage and hardware-based cybersecurity solutions, today announced its strategic investment in Tech4Biz Solutions. Under this partnership, the companies will jointly develop solutions that enable efficient and reliable deployment of secure server and data center operations - a need heightened by enterprises moving artificial intelligence (AI) workloads on-premises, onto their own infrastructure, for security reasons. This investment formalizes the ongoing relationship between the two companies and strengthens joint development across both parties' product ranges: Flexxon's X-PHY hardware security and Tech4Biz's Cloudtopiaa, its sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure platform. X-PHY is Flexxon's hardware-based cybersecurity brand. It provides AI-powered threat detection within the drive's own firmware and hardware, beneath the operating system. X-PHY's hardware-based protection is designed to work even if the software above it is compromised. Cloudtopiaa designs, builds and operates public cloud, private cloud, HPC, GPU inference and AI data center environments for organizations that want full control over their data, models and AI agents in their chosen jurisdiction. Flexxon co-founder and CEO Ms Camellia Chan said: "After working with Tech4Biz for several years, I am delighted to take this next step and deepen the partnership as we continue working together to build more secure, more reliable standards. We are building hardware that is secure by default, and we are taking that security from devices to servers and to data centers - into the self-driving part of the stack where traditional enterprise security leaves too many gaps." Tech4Biz Solutions co-founder and CEO Ms Yasha Khandelwal said, "When a company owns its entire AI stack, the design and security must be right from day one, because there is no hyperscaler behind it to absorb a mistake. We have spent several years building and operating sovereign infrastructure in production for enterprises and institutions, and incorporating X-PHY into that design means that every server we deliver will come with security built into the hardware itself." Where AI capability outpaces security AI has rapidly moved beyond pilot projects to form systems that operate every hour of the day on a company's own data, and the data, models and agent memory involved are now among any company's most sensitive assets. More and more organizations now want that capability on infrastructure they own in their chosen jurisdiction. Accordingly, Gartner estimates that worldwide spending on sovereign cloud infrastructure-as-a-service will reach US$80 billion in 2026, up 35.6 percent from 2025, with the mature Asia-Pacific market growing fastest and governments the largest buyers. This shift puts the responsibility for infrastructure security back on the organizations that operate it. These AI systems often now operate on enterprise data with valid credentials, without seeking approval from the user for each action. Software security measures are still necessary, but they work at the same layers that an attacker is trying to compromise - and there must be an immutable layer to protect data if security measures fail. What X-PHY and Cloudtopiaa will provide The two parties will collaborate to integrate Flexxon's X-PHY hardware security expertise specifically with Tech4Biz's existing infrastructure capabilities through Cloudtopiaa's cloud platform and infrastructure delivery. In the near future, X-PHY's hardware security solutions will be integrated into Cloudtopiaa environments so that server estates become secure by default and security comes with the machine, rather than being added later. For enterprises, this means that security work does not increase with every new server added. This includes the design, construction and deployment of secure infrastructure that an organization can fully own and operate. Development work is already underway, and commercial use is expected to begin in 2027. Cloudtopiaa is already running production workloads for customers including L&T Technology Services, which runs two production engineering platforms on it - a quality management platform for GxP-regulated industries and a multi-agent enterprise AI platform - and Cognitive PRISM. It is also developing a three-year private cloud lab ecosystem for Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering in Mysuru. Initially, this partnership will focus on governments, regulated enterprises, research institutions and data center operators in Singapore, India and North America.

Singapore cybersecurity firm flexxon expands U.S. Footprint through Maryland innovation hub.

Singapore cybersecurity firm flexxon expands U.S. Footprint through Maryland innovation hub. April 7, 2026 A Singapore-based cybersecurity company is accelerating its U.S. growth by tapping into Maryland's innovation ecosystem and international business resources. Flexxon, a global hardware engineering firm specializing in industrial NAND flash storage and secure solutions, has expanded its cybersecurity arm, X-PHY, into the U.S. market. The company's move was supported by Maryland's Global Gateway Soft Landing Program, which helps international businesses establish a foothold while reducing market entry risks. X-PHY focuses on hardware-based cybersecurity solutions, including deepfake detection, server protection, and endpoint security - an approach that differentiates it in an industry largely dominated by software-based defenses. As part of its expansion, X-PHY established operations at bwtech@UMBC, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County's research and technology park. The location provides access to engineering talent, leading research institutions, and a network of industry partners. "We selected bwtech@UMBC because it gives us immediate access to a vibrant innovation ecosystem," said May Chng, co-founder and chief operating officer of X-PHY. "Our type of innovation benefits from the right environment - where we can plug in quickly, learn faster, and build meaningful relationships." Unlike traditional cybersecurity models, X-PHY embeds protection directly into hardware and firmware. This design allows threats to be detected and mitigated closer to where data resides, enabling real-time, proactive defense rather than relying solely on perimeter-based or software-driven solutions. Maryland's Global Gateway Program played a key role in easing the company's transition into the U.S., while bwtech facilitated technical collaborations and business development. According to Chng, the accessibility of local resources and strategic introductions has helped the company scale efficiently. "We are building for long-term growth in the U.S.," Chng said. "Maryland is an important part of that plan - not only as a base, but as a community we want to contribute to." The company's expansion highlights Maryland's continued appeal to international tech firms seeking a strategic entry point into the U.S. market, particularly in high-growth sectors like cybersecurity.
