Staff Biologist
About the job
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the biological sciences.
- Have experience with California native wildlife and/or vegetation and 2-5 years of experience.
- Be willing to work in both an office and in the field.
- Be available for some extended overnight field assignments.
- Support wildlife and botanical field surveys, aquatic resource delineation, data interpretation, and preparation of associated survey reports.
- Perform seasonal construction monitoring for permit compliance.
- Work part-time on a variable, on-call basis as needed.
- Have strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Be interested in pursuing professional growth in a growing midsized consulting firm.
