About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of progressive technical experience in enterprise applications engineering, especially core corporate back-office systems.
  • Hands-on technical architecture and engineering experience across Workday, with deep experience integrating and extending finance, procurement, and legal systems such as NetSuite, Zuora, Zip, Xactly, and Ironclad.
  • A company-wide technical perspective across applications rather than specialization in a single application.
  • A track record of writing detailed technical specifications, designing error-handling frameworks, and executing complex software rollouts across multidimensional teams.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise integration patterns and extensive hands-on experience building complex workflows using Workato or similar enterprise iPaaS platforms, complemented by strong scripting and coding skills.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance, IT General Controls, and segregation of duties, with the ability to architect, enforce, and embed automated technical controls in application designs and integration pipelines.
  • Proficiency applying AI in the business applications space, demonstrated through use of generative AI, LLM frameworks, or intelligent automation tools to solve corporate workflow challenges.
  • Deep functional understanding of Finance, HR, and Legal business processes, and working knowledge of their interfaces with upstream GTM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to communicate technical details to engineers and present strategic roadmaps to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical authority for the back-office ecosystem, including Workday, NetSuite, Zuora, Zip, Xactly, Ironclad, and other applications, ensuring scalability, data integrity, and alignment with end-to-end data flows.
  • Design, code, and deploy reusable application integrations and services using Workato or similar integration tooling to connect disparate systems.
  • Deploy AI/LLM connectors and workflow automation in corporate systems to strengthen operating controls and eliminate manual bottlenecks.
  • Partner with executive business stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal, and GTM to translate strategic business capabilities into technical requirements and end-to-end system design specifications.
  • Optimize the end-to-end back-office data lifecycle, simplify integrations, and streamline information flows from upstream GTM platforms through legal compliance and the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle into billing and financial systems.
  • Mentor business systems analysts and engineers, setting standards for clean architecture, integration practices, and problem-solving.
