About the job
- One year of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- At least one year of experience as an after-school counselor.
- At least one year of experience working in a community-based program.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a high-volume team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
- Coordinate youth presentations and parent workshops.
- Determine and secure required resources and support services for students and the community.
- Coordinate youth groups, including tracking sign-in sheets, obtaining parent consent forms, and maintaining other documents required by program guidelines.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, school staff, department peers, and community resources.
- Engage families to participate in events and host activities and celebrations during the program year.
- Oversee data collection, including demographics, attendance, notes, and curriculum planning, for online submission in accordance with grant-funding guidelines.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate with peers to meet program deadlines and plan events.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Completion of a business or technical school program.
