Requirements
  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, engage residents, and conduct proactive outreach in a community-based setting.
  • Ability to work independently with reliability, initiative, follow-through, and consistent resident engagement.
  • Experience or comfort working with youth, families, older adults, and diverse populations.
  • Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and Outlook; basic proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Salesforce, and Concur.
  • Ability to perform minimal bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, and step climbing, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current automobile insurance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Implement core programs and services across Economic Stability, Education for Youth and Families, Health and Wellness, and Community Building.
  • Conduct outreach and survey resident needs through community engagement aligned with the four pillars.
  • Coordinate and oversee an after-school program and teen program involving homework assistance and educational enrichment activities.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate resident-facing workshops and group sessions, delivering core topics directly when external partners are unavailable.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local providers to deliver services and workshops.
  • Plan and facilitate community-building events that foster safe and meaningful relationships among community members.
  • Provide residents with information and referrals to community resources and services, including nonprofit partners supporting the four pillars.
  • Support food distribution, including maintaining food bank partnerships and managing distributions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the property management team and schedule regular communication sessions.
  • Organize and conduct monthly outreach through door-to-door, digital or virtual, and high-traffic-location engagement.
  • Recruit, select, train, and oversee volunteers and interns supporting Resource Center programming.
  • Use a personal automobile to acquire program supplies and donations and attend offsite meetings, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
  • Publish monthly newsletters and calendars of events.
  • Collect and submit program outcomes data, emphasizing social-impact measurement within the four pillars.
  • Provide input on and adhere to budgets for resident service programs, including authority to use funds for contractors when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in community outreach, resident services, social services, education, youth programming, multifamily housing, or a related field.
  • Equivalent lived, volunteer, or community-based experience.
