Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
  • 5 - 7 years related experience and/or training in a distribution center or transportation environment required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement (CI) tools required.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and lead all levels of associates.
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to deploy labor management strategies that produce measurable cost saving results.
  • Ability to become fluent and a subject matter expert with Kenco’s Operating System and to structure and implement a compliance strategy that delivers superior attainment of KOS KPI’s
  • Ability to objectively evaluate all associates and operational functions within the site.
  • Ability to perform and execute site optimization strategies.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office – Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Word.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.
  • Must have very strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to act as a change agent and drive continual improvement.
  • Must possess strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills required; ability to be organized is critical to success.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of Operational Excellence focused on safety and quality through training, mentorship, project management and internal audits, while leveraging all available support service resources.
  • Support and promotes warehouse compliance with all corporate initiatives and programs including, but not limited to: Kenco O/S, Quality (KQMS), LMS, 6-S, LEAN, GEMBA, Kaizen, A3s, Tier Boards, Takt Boards, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control), Behavior Based Safety, Employee Engagement Impact Plans, etc.
  • Responsible for the management and facilitation of cost reduction initiatives and project management efforts.
  • Responsible for allocating/directing resources throughout all support services functions to ensure that all customer and corporate goals are met.
  • Develop presentations and presents information professionally to internal and external management/customers.
  • Work directly with the IT group to ensure operational reporting is in place that accurately reflects operational performance.
  • Reconcile operational requirements in compliance with customer contractual agreement such as quarterly pain share/gain share payments, budget to actual forecasts, budget re-forecasts based on actual spend, etc. in conjunction with operational staffing needs, coordinates seasonal MHE (Material Handling Equipment) and IT equipment needs.
  • Ensure the highest level of efficiency, quality, and customer service.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance activities.
  • Builds strong relationships and facilitates effective communication with operations teams and key customer contacts.
  • Drive and promote synergies, cohesiveness, camaraderie and consistency in execution of operational and cultural standards across network of responsibility
  • Drive coaching and leadership development to promote organizational bench strength within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and FDA requirements preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial planning, analysis tools, and execution preferred.
  • Experience using warehouse, inventory, financial, and transportation management systems preferred.
  • Experience in FDA requirements and quality management systems preferred.
  • Transportation experience and an understanding of efficient transportation principles preferred.

Kenco, a third-party logistics provider, has appointed Ainsley Williams as Vice President, Automation & Innovation. Williams will lead Kenco's Innovation Lab, a 30,000-square-foot facility for testing supply chain technologies that generated over $5 million in savings during its first year. Williams brings nearly two decades of supply chain engineering experience from Fortune 100 companies including Walmart, Knapp and Vanderlande. Most recently, she served as Swisslog's Senior Director, Systems Engineering. Kenco names Pal Narayanan Chief Digital & Information Officer. Kenco, a leading third-party logistics provider, announced Pal Narayanan as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). Narayanan will continue the work of retiring Steve Hitchings, scaling and strengthening the company's technology ecosystem. Kenco names Wallingford to lead its material handling equipment division. Third party logistics provider (3PL) Kenco has named industry veteran Sean Wallingford as president of its material handling equipment (MHE) division, saying he will help customers to better leverage, maintain, service and automate their assets. Before leading Kenco MHE Solutions, Wallingford had most recently served as President & CEO for supply chain automation and implementation firm Swisslog Americas. Prior to that, he worked for Vanderlande and Honeywell Intelligrated. According to Kenco President & CEO Denis Reilly, the Kenco MHE Solutions is a fast-growing portfolio for the company, more than quadrupling in size since 2022.
