Job Description
Our Test interns work with a team of engineers and industry professionals to develop and test Rockwell firmware to optimize industrial operations. You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of Rockwell Automation and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life.
Firmware Test: if you like pushing products to their limits to meet the rigid standards of industrial components, you will be interested in these activities, which include: design and development of scripts for automating test procedures, documenting of test procedures, execution of test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated), creation of test reports, assistance with lab audit/improvement activities, assist with build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms

Basic Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or university.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign.
Basic programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
Basic knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs)
Experience with Power Electronics or motors
Experience with design capture tools
Be able to work with schematic drawings
Familiarity with tools such as CAD, Creoparametic, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), 3D Modeling, SAP, Matlab
Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming
Experience using Agile methodology
