Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer for email communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and related tools and technology.
  • Relevant work experience and technical skills supporting Commercial Grade Dedication engineering tasks in the energy industry, including oil and gas, power and utilities, or nuclear energy.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of progressive Commercial Grade Dedication experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a National Quality Assurance-1 compliant Commercial Grade Dedication process.
  • Familiarity with the latest version of National Quality Assurance-1 requirements, Electric Power Research Institute Commercial Grade Dedication requirements, and Department of Energy Commercial Grade Dedication requirements.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and resolve issues that may be critical, sensitive, or urgent.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with all organizational levels and people with different styles and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week on an assigned schedule.
  • United States citizenship.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Eligibility for a United States Government Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as Employment Authorization.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigation, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare Commercial Grade Dedication packages, Replacement Item Evaluations, and Receipt Inspection Criteria packages for safety equipment procurement classified as Safety Significant and Safety Class.
  • Support Facility Maintenance with Commercial Grade Dedication documentation for Safety Significant and Safety Class systems.
  • Support the Facility Spare Parts Administrator with documentation for engineered equipment spare parts using the latest version of National Quality Assurance-1 engineered item requirements.
  • Interface with Design Authorities and support preparation of critical characteristic technical evaluations that drive testing and inspection criteria development.
  • Review facility design documentation for Safety Significant and Safety Class systems and input and approve associated data sheets for design acceptance.
  • Perform Supplier Commercial Grade Dedication Surveys as the engineering member of the team for approved vendor suppliers.
  • Review vendor Commercial Grade Dedication plans and procedure submittals for acceptance.
  • Support Quality Receipt Inspection by helping disposition non-conformance reports as required by procedure.
  • Provide engineering services using Savannah River Remediation and Savannah River Site processes and procedures.
  • Establish, manage, pursue, and fulfill annual goals and objectives and support business development and other company efforts.
  • Travel occasionally for meetings, events, site visits, or training when required and approved.

  • Involvement with the Department of Energy Engineering Practices Work Group or Commercial Grade Dedication activities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
