About the job
- Electrical engineering experience within the technology industry is strongly preferred.
- Technical aptitude combined with the ability to effectively prioritize conflicting tasks within a team environment is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of space planning and the construction process is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of building systems, construction delivery methods, and standard industry terminology.
- Experience with engineering and office software such as SAP, Microsoft Suite, and AutoCAD.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, maintenance, and other engineering departments, to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Ensure all electrical designs, installations, and maintenance activities meet applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations, including OSHA and the National Electrical Code.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
- Manage multiple projects and activities to meet tight deadlines and track progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation for record keeping and reporting.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
- Perform electrical load calculations and create electrical power, lighting, and system plans.
- Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in capital projects.
- Ensure equipment, workspaces, and tools supplied by FII are used for intended purposes and maintained in safe working order.
- Apply principles and working knowledge of structural, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical system design.
- Guide and assist the team with maintenance of facilities.
- Utilize engineering principles, codes, and standards to identify issues, recommend improvements, and implement solutions.
- Adjust priorities as needed regarding competing project needs and their impact on the work schedule.
