Requirements
  • A DEC diploma in nursing and a valid professional license are required.
  • Recent and relevant emergency-department experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in a hospital environment.
  • Assess patients' medical and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Use the Epic system to document care and track patients' progress.
  • Communicate effectively with families about patients' health status and needs.
  • Participate in case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Train and supervise auxiliary staff, when applicable.
