Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential is required.
  • At least one year of mechanical experience, one year of baggage handling system or passenger boarding bridge experience, or the ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test is required.
  • The ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • The employee must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability under the company's insurance policy are required.
  • The employee must comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.
  • The employee must complete assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required, including the ability to log in, retrieve and answer emails, and complete training.
  • The employee must be able to work safely, follow company and federally established policies and procedures, and promote a safe work environment.
  • The employee must be able to work in tight and high spaces and use appropriate personal protective equipment and fall-protection equipment.
  • The employee must meet the stated physical demands, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, crawling, squatting or stooping, bending or kneeling, and lifting or carrying objects up to 20 pounds frequently and heavier objects occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians with preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance assignments for Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges.
  • Clear system jams and perform shift inspections, cleaning, and electrical and mechanical adjustments.
  • Diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel and ensure equipment operates safely.
  • Follow the direction and guidance of senior personnel and accept training and mentoring from them.
  • Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor or manager instructions.
  • Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
  • Assist technicians with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, and greasing.
  • Complete all assigned safety training courses.
  • Comply with all ELS safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments required by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in an airport environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience working on conveyors and/or passenger boarding bridges is preferred.

Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Daifuku acquires 100% of Eisenmann to strengthen automotive manufacturing systems

Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business. The acquisition enables Daifuku to offer more comprehensive coverage in automotive and industrial manufacturing, from quotation through to after-sales support, tailored to European standards. Both companies expect the deal to enhance proposal capabilities, expand integrated offerings and increase customer value in automotive production line systems.
