Responsibilities
  • Direct a service-oriented and comprehensive academic program for all assigned student-athletes to ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist coaches, student-athletes, and recruits with university requirements and individual program requirements, including applicability of transfer credits.
  • Monitor progress toward degree requirements and continuing eligibility for assigned student-athletes.
  • Assist with submitting NCAA waivers and appeals.
  • Organize study hall for all student-athletes and create daily study hall reports and weekly progress reports for the assigned coaching staff.
  • Coordinate and monitor priority registration for student-athletes.
  • Assist with academic planning and enrollment for summer school fifth year.
  • Maintain working relationships with athletic administrators, coaches, faculty, university support staff, and parents by frequently contacting and interacting with academic advisors and student service departments to access student-athletes' academic progress and status.
  • Participate in continued education, professional development, and training, including NCAA-sponsored seminars, conference meetings, applicable conventions, and academic services education.
