Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or licensure as a licensed practical nurse, or completion of the UW Health Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program, or attainment of the certified clinical medical assistant certification as a UW Health employee, or acceptance into the UW Health Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated, or one year of recent medical assistant experience with certified medical assistant, registered medical assistant, or certified clinical medical assistant certification.
  • Certification as a medical assistant, certified medical assistant, registered medical assistant, or certified clinical medical assistant within one year is required, or licensed practical nurse licensure is required upon hire.
  • Applicants using certification in lieu of medical assistant education or licensed practical nurse licensure must hold current certified medical assistant, registered medical assistant, or certified clinical medical assistant certification upon hire.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation/basic life support certification is required upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance with dermatology and Mohs surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and wound care.
  • Facilitate phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, and laser procedures.
  • Deliver quality care in a compassionate, patient- and family-centered environment.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
  • Work as part of a positive, patient-centered team.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a certified medical assistant or licensed practical nurse.
