  • Physician Assistants must graduate from an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and hold NCCPA certification.
  • Nurse Practitioners must graduate from a nurse practitioner education program and hold national certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience treating patients of all ages in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is required.
  • Candidates must exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
  • Candidates must have a clean background, an unrestricted North Carolina Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license, a North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration registration, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and Department of Transportation certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide urgent care coverage for weekday and weekend shifts.
  • Treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
  • Provide a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month.
  • Coordinate with system emergency departments to transfer patients requiring acute care.
  • Provide coverage within the selected service region or support both service regions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Four or more years of experience is highly desired.
