Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of system development/integration experience, preferably in aerospace or complicated technical systems, including some aspect of new product development
  • Familiarity with structured risk management plans and risk monitoring
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including external customers
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a US citizen or national, US permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the US as a refugee or granted asylum
Responsibilities
  • Lead risk and opportunity management for one or more rocket engine programs
  • Identify relationships between risks to ensure effective risk mitigation
  • Coach teams in characterizing program risks and developing mitigation plans
  • Support the development and documentation of mitigation plans
  • Monitor progress of mitigation plans throughout the program lifecycle
  • Lead risk review boards at integrated product team and program levels
  • Facilitate discussions and seek to understand the purpose behind identified risks
  • Collaborate with risk managers and key stakeholders to improve processes, tools, and training
  • Improve metrics and reporting systems to provide valuable insights into risk posture
  • Contribute to the development and sustainment of a strong risk management culture
