Requirements
  • A minimum high school degree or equivalent/GED.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of customer service or credit union experience.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience.
  • A minimum of one year of cash handling experience.
  • Ability to identify members' needs, explain the features and benefits of Blaze services, and close sales opportunities.
  • Typing skills.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Ability to learn to use various office equipment.
  • Ability to be coached and meet sales and service expectations.
  • Ability to interact with members and staff politely using a general script and templated written communications.
  • Ability to sit and stand, answer calls, operate a computer, interact with internal staff and the public by phone, travel to designated offices, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of credit union and member records and follow applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Use the Online Branch Service queue to recommend and sell Blaze products and services to meet members' financial needs and Blaze's growth objectives.
  • Identify members' financial needs and market appropriate Blaze products and services while meeting or exceeding sales goals for accounts, loans, and partner referrals.
  • Oversee and execute the new account application process through the online branch queue.
  • Use member interactions to develop relationships through the consumer loan process while following approved guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and services and follow up on all service and sales leads through outbound calls and correspondence.
  • Perform duties supporting effective branch operations and assist with Blaze Operational Excellence.
  • Follow credit union banking guidelines and efficiently process all transactions.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and documentation is accurate to manage risk and reduce losses.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operations.

  • Previous financial services experience is a plus.
