  • An active, in-scope United States Government-issued Secret clearance is required.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) certification or higher is required.
  • Cisco Collaboration certification or an equivalent certification is required.
  • An associate degree in a related field or two years of relevant experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all technical support and operations and maintenance activities for VTC and multimedia systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for VTC and multimedia system issues.
  • Monitor VTC network performance and conduct daily system and equipment checks to ensure connectivity and effective operation.
  • Schedule and coordinate VTC resources, conference rooms, calendars, and bridges, and establish secure and non-secure VTC calls and bridge connections.
  • Assist local facilitators with conference-room VTC setup and operations, and provide training and technical assistance for troubleshooting equipment and connections.
  • Provide on-site technical support during distinguished-visitor-hosted VTCs for O-6 personnel and above.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain VTC suites, desktop VTCs, and audio/visual systems and equipment.
  • Monitor and control VTC performance, utilization, and capacity to ensure system performance, availability, serviceability, and recoverability, and report vulnerabilities or deficiencies to government technical representatives.
  • Evaluate new requirements, conduct site surveys, research and recommend solutions, and plan, engineer, design, and integrate approved solutions.
  • Formulate strategies, develop plans, and prepare technical documentation for integrating new VTC technologies into existing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure, research current technologies and solutions, and provide hardware and software upgrade or replacement recommendations for end-of-life or end-of-support commercial off-the-shelf products.
  • Recommend network design changes and enhancements to improve system availability and performance.
  • Assist with tracking and managing commercial off-the-shelf licenses, warranties, and service-level-agreement renewals for VTC and multimedia systems equipment and software.
  • Support on-demand and ad hoc multimedia requirements.
  • Develop and maintain current VTC and multimedia systems and architecture engineering, installation, configuration baseline, and accreditation drawings, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Update and publish system diagrams and drawings semi-annually or as directed by the government.
  • Develop and submit monthly VTC and multimedia systems status reports.
