Requirements
  • At least 3 years of IT experience and at least 1 year of IT help desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment, or a 4-year degree in an IT field of study and at least 1 year of IT help desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of networks, servers, and desktop applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Server technologies and enterprise-level server and desktop systems.
  • U.S. citizenship and compliance with the Department of Justice residency requirement.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, with willingness to hold up to Top Secret clearance if required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 remote, over-the-phone administration, support, and technical assistance to EOUSA and USAO IT Systems Manager staff.
  • Perform steady-state administration and monitoring of enterprise management systems, including troubleshooting, security patch installation, patch management, hardware and software upgrades, data storage and retrieval, and system optimization.
  • Create, modify, and verify backup jobs; perform data replication and backup media rotations.
  • Administer and support a Windows Active Directory environment, including file and print servers, domain controllers, application servers, and media storage systems.
  • Manage Active Directory and domain controller components, including DNS, organizational units, Active Directory sites and subnets, group policies, access control lists, and account lifecycle activities.
  • Support enterprise-wide desktop and laptop image deployments and routine system updates.
  • Execute routine software patch updates through enterprise management systems such as BigFix and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
  • Monitor and support enterprise tools including HP Systems Insight Manager, SolarWinds, CommVault, vCenter, NICE Vision Control Net, EVOIP Nagios, System Center Configuration Manager, System Center Service Manager, System Center Operations Manager, Splunk, Cisco Prime, Dell OpenManage Essentials, and customized SharePoint sites.
  • Support steady-state, enterprise-wide System Center Configuration Manager deployments and systems backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor systems for potential problems, resolve issues promptly, and ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards.
  • Assist with hardware installations, wiring and cabling support, equipment rack relocations, and power source support.
  • Handle issues via phone calls and email simultaneously while multitasking effectively.
Desired Qualifications
  • Microsoft Fundamentals or CompTIA certifications.
  • Experience supporting federal government or Department of Justice environments.
  • Hands-on experience with System Center Configuration Manager, BigFix, SolarWinds, Splunk, or CommVault.
