Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Integration Leader (SWIL) to support development of global vehicle motion control systems. The mission of the SWIL is to manage and execute the integration of both internally and externally developed software for Engine, Transmission, Electrification and Chassis controller applications. This position requires an individual with an adept knowledge of hardware and software for embedded control systems with demonstrated capability to manage a wide variety of technical and customer needs to ensure all requirements and deliverables are met on-time with "world’s best" quality.
The Role:
Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Integration Leader (SWIL) to support development of global vehicle motion control systems. The mission of the SWIL is to manage and execute the integration of both internally and externally developed software for Engine, Transmission, Electrification and Chassis controller applications. This position requires an individual with an adept knowledge of hardware and software for embedded control systems with demonstrated capability to handle a wide variety of technical and customer needs to ensure all requirements and deliverables are met on-time with "world’s best" quality.
Responsibilities:
Integration and verification of software build to produce software releases for development and production usage.
Single point contact to supplier’s software group, work with supplier to establish delivery content, schedules and resolve issues.
Assist in the development of software content and anomaly corrections.
Actively manages controller resources (e.g. memory and CPU utilization), escalates and engages SMEs for resolution if necessary.
Prepare software for production release.
Provides technical leadership for advanced technology development and stays abreast of new technology, debugging & instrumentation tools, microprocessors and software development processes (e.g. SAFe).
Foster & document Best Practices to ensure high quality deliverables and reduce development lead time.
Train, develop, mentor and evaluate technical capability of team members.

Qualifications:
Required
Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
3 or more years of experience in developing large scale software projects for real-time embedded systems.
Experience in SW development/Testing and knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Assembly, Perl, Java).
Experience with Real time operating systems (i.e. RTOS for embedded system), instrumentation and development tools (e.g. GiT, Jenkins, Eclipse, INCA, in circuit emulators, debuggers, DSPACE).
Familiarity with microprocessor/micro-controller design and theory.
High level of oral and written communication skills
Analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
Interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
Preferred
Master’s degree in engineering (E.g. Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechanical)
Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Certification in SAFe specific roles: e.g. SP, SDP, ASE, SSM or SA
Production experience in automotive control system specifically in propulsion, chassis and brakes
Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and communication networks
DFSS Black-Belt certification
