Requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance; TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Homeland Security Suitability before starting employment.
  • Must have 5+ years of directly relevant experience as a Linux systems administrator.
  • Must have 2+ years of macOS and iOS experience.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
  • Required education is a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related degree; alternatively, a high school diploma with 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.
Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical level and implement infrastructure solutions supporting command decision-making and mission requirements.
  • Perform large-scale configuration management and deployment across Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, other operating systems, and virtual environments to support the Technical Engagement Network infrastructure.
  • Support implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
  • Provide ongoing systems administration, technical support, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting services.
  • Monitor Red Hat platforms for security and health and create and maintain daily reports of findings.
  • Create next-generation application platform automation solutions using Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.
  • Integrate and configure commercial off-the-shelf, government off-the-shelf, and third-party applications into Red Hat OpenShift and manage, maintain, and patch containerized applications.
  • Create and support automation solutions for deploying systems and applications to virtual and physical devices using Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Tower, and Red Hat Satellite.
  • Implement granular access control; monitor system performance and user accessibility; establish backups; and monitor system security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise storage problems related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks, monitor storage-related network and system issues, and remediate them.
  • Examine existing procedures and identify efficiencies, with customer approval.
  • Manage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Advise and provide insight on development of lab standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Employ security concepts, theories, insights, tools, and methodologies to mitigate system weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Virtualization automation and optimization.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix, Windows, and macOS.
  • DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification is desired.
