Isaias refinery shutdown threatens 500,000 bpd capacity. BankBit Editorials 3 hours ago 95 In corporate news, AngioDynamics reported fiscal year 2027 first-quarter results that highlighted continued execution driving med-tech growth and profitability, while T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights initiative narrowed the field to 40 schools vying for a $1 million upgrade, underscoring the carrier's network expansion push. Meanwhile, Mint Mobile celebrated its tenth anniversary with an unprecedented $10-per-month plan across all tiers, and bioAffinity Technologies secured a $4 million registered direct financing through an at-the-market private placement. Schneider Downs also reinforced its regional footprint by opening a new Grandview Yard office in Columbus, Ohio. Market activity on the Nifty and Sensex showed Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Adani Enterprises and ITC leading the list of top gainers and losers on Thursday, reflecting mixed sentiment amid earnings releases and geopolitical concerns. In regulatory developments, the Northern Territory introduced a bill proposing deposit caps for under-25s and higher maximum fines, aiming to curb risky banking behavior among young consumers. Meanwhile, the San Diego Spirit Festival's feature on "Straight Talk" with DJ Doc highlighted GGII's involvement in the emerging wellness sector, though the event remains a niche cultural note. Overall market sentiment remains volatile, with investors weighing supply-chain risks against corporate earnings momentum. Schneider Downs announces leadership appointments, governance transition.

Schneider Downs announces leadership appointments, governance transition. Updated May 7, 2026, 4:39 pm Pittsburgh-based IPA 100 firm Schneider Downs & Co. Inc. (FY24 net revenue of $132.0 million) has announced a series of leadership appointments and a transition to a single-CEO governance model, effective July 1. Adam Goode, currently chief executive officer-elect, will assume the role of CEO as the firm moves away from its co-CEO structure. The change is intended to strengthen governance, improve decision-making efficiency and better align leadership responsibilities. "As Schneider Downs continues to grow in size and complexity, it is important that our leadership structure supports both operational excellence and long term strategic focus," said Goode, CEO-elect. The firm has also created the role of chief operating officer. Justin Steele, currently tax practice unit leader, has been appointed COO and will oversee day-to-day operations, execution of strategy and the firm's operating committee. Practice and affiliate leaders across tax, audit, consulting, wealth management, SD Digital and SD Capital will report to him. "This role allows the CEO and board of directors to remain focused on long term growth and strategy, while ensuring strong execution and operational alignment across the firm," Goode said. With Steele's transition, Evan Ogrodnik has been named tax practice unit leader. In addition, Carley Taslov has been promoted to consulting practice unit leader, succeeding Goode in that role. Current co-CEOs Chris McElroy and Steve Thompson will continue to support the leadership transition and remain involved in client service and firm growth initiatives. "These leaders understand who we are, what we stand for and what has enabled Schneider Downs to thrive for more than 70 years," Goode said. "Together, this team is well positioned to guide the firm into its next chapter."
