Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in project controls, project management, or a similar role with a proven track record of managing complex projects
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies, schedule and cost control tools, and software
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, and development of resource-loaded design and construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • This role requires the candidate to be located near a PMA office and able to work in the office as needed
  • Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules that align with project milestones and deadlines
  • Lead the integration and maintenance of multiple project schedules across different teams using scheduling software, such as Primavera P6
  • Lead weekly project status meetings with contractors to review progress, discuss challenges, strategize lost time recovery, and resolve constraints affecting project timelines
  • Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports detailing project status, changes or delays, key performance indicators, and upcoming milestones
  • Provide expert analysis on schedule performance, identifying critical paths and potential bottlenecks
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate schedule impacts and negotiate timeline adjustments
  • Maintain a proactive approach to foresee and address scheduling challenges in a dynamic construction environment
  • Ability to create scenario-based project schedules to assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall project outcomes
  • Other duties as assigned
