About the job

Requirements
  • The role requires 3–8 years in finance data, analytics engineering, financial systems, or e-commerce finance operations, focused on finance and accounting data.
  • Candidates must have a proven track record of reconciling and validating financial data across multiple systems, including ERP systems, marketplaces, and data warehouses, and of replacing manual checks with automated checks.
  • Candidates must have hands-on NetSuite experience in a finance context.
  • Candidates must have participated in at least one ERP implementation, data migration, or post-acquisition integration from discovery through go-live.
  • Candidates must have experience in e-commerce, consumer products, retail, or another physical-product business.
  • Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English.
  • Candidates must understand core accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting, revenue recognition, inventory and cost of goods sold, and the record-to-report cycle.
  • Candidates must understand common e-commerce data issues, including marketplace settlements and fees, Fulfillment by Amazon inventory, reimbursements, landed cost, and foreign exchange.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of multi-entity, multi-currency accounting and how data and configuration choices affect financial reporting and audit.
  • Candidates must have strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Candidates must have experience building version-controlled data and tests and setting up data-quality monitoring and alerts.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of NetSuite saved searches and workflows.
  • Candidates must have advanced Excel skills and be comfortable using AI tools such as Claude to support analysis, documentation, and prototyping.
  • Candidates must be able to own ambiguous problems end to end by scoping the issue, designing a fix, implementing or coordinating the change, and confirming the outcome.
  • Candidates must be able to explain data problems clearly to accountants and engineers and follow up until the issue owner resolves them.
  • Candidates must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced, scaling organization.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end validation of finance data by reconciling Amazon Seller Central and other marketplace data against NetSuite, inventory records against third-party logistics and warehouse data, and NetSuite against BigQuery.
  • Confirm that data pipelines and connectors for marketplaces, order management, third-party logistics, banking, and spend management are complete, timely, and correctly mapped.
  • Build automated checks, reconciliations, and exception reports to catch issues before they reach reports.
  • Investigate data breaks and perform root-cause analysis; fix bugs and connector issues directly where possible, and drive fixes with the owning team or vendor when needed.
  • Produce cleansed, validated, and documented sales, margin, inventory, and cash datasets for business use.
  • Establish clear data definitions, ownership, and sign-off so Finance, FP&A, and leadership work from one version of the truth.
  • Ensure numbers presented to the CEO, board, investors, and lenders are reconciled and defensible.
  • Own finance data integrity and work with partners in Accounting/NetSuite, IT, FP&A, Operations, and brand teams to prioritize issues and agree on ownership of fixes.
  • Explain data problems, their impact, and required changes, and follow owners through to resolution.
  • Track open issues and communicate progress, risks, and impact through regular updates.
  • Provide functional support for Finance applications, resolve production issues, and track recurring problems through permanent fixes.
  • Translate Finance requirements into system solutions, including business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
  • Partner with the Accounting/NetSuite lead to improve NetSuite saved searches, reports, workflows, and multi-currency and intercompany setup.
  • Plan and run user acceptance testing for new features, releases, and integrations; manage defects and validate downstream results after go-live.
  • Lead the finance systems and data workstream for new brand acquisitions, including entity setup, data migration, and sales-channel integration.
  • Run access governance, periodic access reviews, and segregation-of-duties checks to support audit and internal-control requirements.
  • Maintain system and data documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for finance users.
  • Build the validated data foundation needed for AI and agent initiatives across Finance and FP&A.
  • Identify automation opportunities and support the rollout of AI-enabled workflows, automated reporting, and agents to help the finance function scale.
  • Map end-to-end finance data flows, establish a data-issue log with clear owners, and deliver initial reconciliations for Seller Central to NetSuite, inventory, and cash during the first three months.
  • Automate those reconciliations with alerts and deliver the first certified sales and margin dataset for FP&A use during months three to six.
  • Ensure the leadership KPI pack runs on certified data, establish a standard data-integration playbook for newly acquired brands, and launch initial AI and agent pilots in Finance and FP&A during months six to twelve.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Amazon marketplace data is a strong advantage.
  • German language skills are a plus.
  • Hands-on BigQuery experience is strongly preferred.
  • NetSuite certification, such as SuiteFoundation or Administrator certification, is a plus.
  • Experience with order management or integration platforms such as Pipe17 or Celigo, and spend-management tools such as Ramp.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker, or with Python for data work.
  • Prior experience in a buy-and-build, roll-up, or multi-brand environment where new entities are integrated frequently.
  • Exposure to AI or agent use cases in finance.
  • SuiteScript experience.
