A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

Experience with tax software such as Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar software.
Familiarity with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, Foreign Bank Account Report, and foreign asset reporting.
Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Proficiency with taxation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, and 1065.
Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and structuring matters.
Represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service in audits, appeals, and collection cases.
Assist in preparing responses to Internal Revenue Service notices and handling tax controversy matters.
Ensure timely and accurate filings in accordance with Internal Revenue Service and state-specific guidelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including accounting and legal, on tax issues.
Keep up to date with U.S. tax laws, international tax treaties, and Internal Revenue Service updates.
Support Individual Taxpayer Identification Number application and acceptance agent services, if applicable.
Train junior staff or tax associates as needed.

Job Summary:
Creative Chaos is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Tax Specialist (Enrolled Agent) to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising clients on tax-related matters, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax laws.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.)

Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases
Assist in preparing responses to IRS notices and handling tax controversy matters
Ensure timely and accurate filings with adherence to IRS and state-specific guidelines
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., accounting, legal) on tax issues
Keep up to date with U.S. tax laws, international tax treaties, and IRS updates
Support ITIN application and acceptance agent services (if applicable)
Train junior staff or tax associates as needed
