Requirements
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or equivalent.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy, with courtesy and tact in sensitive personal interactions.
  • Good computer and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support members over the phone, chat system, and email.
  • Build rapport, determine members’ needs, and offer creative solutions to serve them.
  • Identify members over the phone, process account transactions, conduct account and check research, modify and maintain personal accounts, provide basic electronic-channel support, answer member questions, identify fraud, and provide accurate information about credit union products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of credit union products and services and cross-sell appropriate solutions.
  • Provide online banking, Bill Pay, SWBC, fraud, and peer-to-peer payment support.
  • Perform one-time and recurring transfers, loan and credit card payments, cashier’s checks, wire transfers, and debit and credit card maintenance and management.
  • Open and close shares, add and remove entities on personal accounts, and maintain accurate and current member information.
  • Listen to members’ needs and offer appropriate loan and deposit product solutions.
  • Refer issues beyond the role’s authority to a supervisor with recommendations.
  • Make decisions in alignment with credit union values and follow policies and procedures.
  • Develop working knowledge of the credit union’s history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures, and software systems.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
