Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 4 years in a leadership role, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and other regulatory standards.
  • Work with external vendors to prepare annual federal and state taxes.
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and long-term planning efforts as required.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Oversee the administration of the treasury function, including funds flow to various partners.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize the company's cash position through effective cash management strategies in conjunction with finance leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee the annual audit process, working with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including risks related to contracts, credit, and operational processes.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting and payroll team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to support career growth.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and resources to meet the company's financial reporting and operational needs.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role, as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential is highly preferred.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in value-based care or managed care organizations, is highly desirable.
