Responsibilities

  • Attend a three-year vocational training program as a track builder, with block instruction at a qualification center and vocational school in Augsburg.
  • Operate a cut-off grinder and prepare for the relevant examination with support.
  • Work with a track construction team at worksites, measure track sections, install rails, and use current technology.
  • Check equipment, replace ballast, and work on new construction projects.
  • Learn to produce continuous tracks and switches, including through aluminothermic joining welding.
