  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or another related field, or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in networking and server platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level support for network services and infrastructure, including telecommunications, networking, security, servers, databases, personal computers, and applications.
  • Serve as the Tier 1 service provider and on-site representative for coordinated Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
  • Support data networking equipment under the guidance of a Senior Network Engineer.
  • Install and rack basic network and security appliances.
  • Run data cabling and terminate cable ends.
  • Monitor uninterruptible power supplies and backup power.
  • Assist with troubleshooting basic servers and Windows operating systems.
  • Provide legacy server support.
  • Support system consolidation projects involving user files, internet services, and unmanaged devices.
  • Work with customers to identify and report application issues and resolve application and user-access issues under senior analyst guidance.
  • Follow data cabling and labeling procedures and update rack layout and rack elevation documents.
  • Install, manage, and update infrastructure devices, including power distribution units, keyboard-video-mouse devices, security door locks, security cameras, servers, and databases.
  • Participate in mentoring, training, professional development, and departmental teams.
  • Travel independently to remote sites when assigned and communicate with the team while working off-site.
  • Use office productivity software to create and update team documents and document network and security issues.
  • Populate and maintain network information databases and use problem-tracking systems to monitor network problems.
  • Educate customers about network security issues and data protection.
  • Work with the senior information risk and threat team to mitigate threats on-site.
  • Assist with mobile-device setup under senior team leadership.
  • Assist senior telecommunications analysts with maintenance and troubleshooting, and maintain telecommunications backups and uninterruptible power supplies.
  • Review, identify, and document project issues, barriers, and risks and bring them to management’s attention.
  • Provide project and task coordination services to customers.
  • Participate in application and technical development sessions and departmental and project teams.
  • Report status, schedule variances, and outstanding issues to team members and project managers while managing workload and deadlines.
  • Complete work-task documentation according to policy.
  • Assist with controlling project costs and communicate project-related expenses when assigned.
  • Manage expectations and engage management regarding changes to project scope and deliverables.
  • Participate in post-implementation project reviews.
  • Implement project changes according to change-control policies and procedures.
  • Communicate project nature, significance, and risk factors to all parties.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and independently resolve customer and executive video-conferencing issues.
  • Develop and use tools to monitor real-time audio and video quality across the network.
  • Provide training to the service desk and IT administrators on video-conferencing equipment administration and support.
  • Accept on-call duties and respond by phone or on-site according to department policy.
  • Participate in periodic network vulnerability testing, identify and confirm vulnerabilities, and report risk, threat level, and business impact findings.
  • Work with customers to identify and resolve issues involving application delivery and user access.
  • Assist with managing user access to delivered applications.
  • Provide first-level and basic second-level support for products and applications.
  • Support troubleshooting with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers for routine and moderately complex problems.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes and events.
  • Participate in weekly meetings, including change management for assigned areas.
  • Recommend, install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, manage, and remove Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office, billing, accounting, clinical, enterprise resource planning, antivirus, encryption, and other deployed applications.
  • Use tools and follow change-management, problem-management, incident-management, and request-management policies and procedures.
  • Support on-site server infrastructure, including Nutanix, Hyper-V, VMware, and physical hardware.
  • Support healthcare applications by troubleshooting technical problems from remote sites and instructing end users on proper application use.
  • Manage information technology inventory acquisition, inventory counts, inventory locator systems, reorder systems, par levels, and minimum/maximum parameters.
  • Develop and analyze inventory reports, conduct physical inventories, and provide inventory-management expertise.
  • Meet daily operational needs for supplies and equipment and determine order requirements using Workday recommendations, physical counts, receiving information, and observation.
  • Authorize daily shipping and receiving orders and maintain proficiency with Workday, ServiceNow, and electronic spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accounting knowledge and coordinate inventory reconciliation, Workday interfaces, and manual billings.

  • CompTIA Server+ certification.
  • Experience working with end users and multiple teams using change-management processes and ticketing software.
