CD Valet just made shopping for CDs way less sketchy - real customer reviews are now live.

CD Valet just made shopping for CDs way less sketchy - real customer reviews are now live. You can chase the highest CD rates online all you want, but if the bank's account opening process feels like navigating a corn maze blindfolded, that extra 0.15% APY suddenly doesn't seem worth it. That's why they just rolled out a customer review feature that lets you see what real savers actually think about banks and credit unions before you park your money there. Think of it as Yelp meets your savings strategy - except way more useful than reading about someone's mediocre brunch experience. What's new here. CD Valet partnered with Trustpilot (the world's biggest independent review platform) to bring authentic customer feedback directly into their CD marketplace. Now, when you're browsing through the roughly 40,000 CDs from nearly 5,000 financial institutions on their site, you'll see reviews right alongside the rates. These aren't fluff pieces written by the bank's marketing team. They're real reviews from actual customers who've opened CDs, all hosted on Trustpilot's platform and governed by their integrity standards. Translation: no funny business, no fake five-star love letters from "definitely not the CEO's cousin." Why this matters more than you think. John Blizzard, the founder of CD Valet, put it perfectly: "Rate alone has never told the whole story." His customers - the careful, spreadsheet-loving savers among The Credit Union Connection, LLC. - have been asking for more insight into what it's actually like to deal with these institutions. And honestly? That makes sense. Most people are opening CDs online these days, which means you're dealing with digital account systems, email support, and phone calls instead of walking into a branch where someone offers you stale coffee and a handshake. When the digital experience is clunky or customer service is MIA, even a great rate can turn into a headache. Customer reviews help you figure out whether that top-tier APY is worth potentially wrestling with a website that looks like it was designed in 2003, or if you're better off accepting a slightly lower rate at a bank where people consistently rave about the experience. What banks and credit unions get out of this. Financial institutions listed on CD Valet can now build up a public track record of reviews tied specifically to their CD Valet presence. This is separate from any Trustpilot profile they might already have elsewhere. The best part for these institutions? They can respond publicly to reviews, track their performance through regular reports, and participate without needing any technical setup or paying extra fees. CD Valet handles the entire pipeline, so it's basically plug-and-play reputation building. The bigger picture. CD Valet already shows BauerFinancial Ratings on their site, which tell you how financially solid an institution is - important stuff when you're trusting them with your money. Adding Trustpilot reviews gives you the other side of the coin: the subjective, human experience of actually banking there. One measures financial strength. The other measures whether you'll want to pull your hair out during the account opening process. Together, they give you a much clearer picture of what you're signing up for. The feature is live right now at cdvalet.com. As more savers share their experiences, the review library will grow, making it even easier to separate the institutions that truly deliver from the ones that just look good on paper.

Trustpilot and Shopify strengthen partnership to power the future of reviews in the age of AI.

Trustpilot and Shopify strengthen partnership to power the future of reviews in the age of AI. Monday, June 29, 2026 LONDON - 29 June, 2026 - Trustpilot, the world's largest open customer feedback platform, today announces that it has become a key product partner for reviews within Shopify, deepening its role within one of the world's largest providers of essential internet infrastructure for commerce. The partnership comes as trusted third-party feedback plays an increasingly important role in online shopping. As AI continues to reshape digital commerce and make it easier to launch and scale online storefronts, consumers are placing greater value on real customer experiences and independent reputation signals when deciding where to spend their money. Through the enhanced Trustpilot app on the Shopify App Store, Shopify merchants will be able to connect their stores directly with the Trustpilot platform, making it easier to collect, manage, and showcase reviews. Trustpilot's enhanced role within the Shopify ecosystem supports merchants in building a stronger foundation of customer feedback that can help reinforce transparency, credibility and consumer confidence in the age of AI-driven commerce. As AI-powered search, recommendations, and shopping assistants increasingly rely on trusted third-party signals to evaluate and surface brands, Trustpilot helps merchants strengthen the trust signals, citations, and reputation data that can influence visibility. Adrian Blair, CEO of Trustpilot, said: "Trust has become one of the defining signals people rely on when deciding which business, service or retailer to choose. As customer journeys become faster, more automated and increasingly AI-driven, people want confidence that the companies they buy from are genuine, transparent and reliable. This partnership brings Trustpilot closer to where purchase decisions are being made every day, making it easier for merchants to build credibility through open customer feedback, while helping shoppers see trusted reviews more naturally within the Shopify experience." Deann Evans, Managing Director, EMEA of Shopify, said: "Merchants want simple ways to build credibility with customers as they grow online. As AI changes how people discover and decide what to buy, independent customer feedback becomes one of the strongest signals a merchant can build. Making Trustpilot reviews easier to collect, manage and surface across Shopify helps our merchants compete on one of the things that matters most to any business, genuine customer trust." The enhanced app for Shopify includes improved data synchronisation and automated features designed to simplify review collection and management for merchants. General availability of the new app is live as of June 29, 2026. About trustpilot. Trustpilot just partnered with Shopify to put its reviews where AI search engines are already looking. The deal lets Shopify merchants display and manage Trustpilot reviews natively, arriving as AI-powered search drives a 1,490 percent jump in click-throughs to the platform June 27, 2026 - 1:22 pm Tl;dr. Trustpilot partnered with Shopify to embed reviews in merchant stores as AI search click-throughs surged 1,490 percent in FY25. The deal arrives at a moment when AI is rewriting how shoppers discover products. Trustpilot said click-throughs from AI-powered search engines rose 1,490 percent during its most recent financial year, which ended in March. A study by analytics firm Promptwatch ranked Trustpilot as the fifth most-cited domain globally on ChatGPT, behind only Wikipedia, YouTube, Reddit, and LinkedIn. That surge is what makes the Shopify tie-up more than a distribution deal. As AI assistants start recommending products and handling purchases on a shopper's behalf, the data those assistants rely on to form an opinion becomes critical infrastructure. Trustpilot's argument is that verified human reviews are the trust layer AI needs to make good recommendations. The | of EU tech "The rise of AI is transforming how consumers discover, evaluate and purchase products," CEO Adrian Blair said. "Shopify merchants will now be able to build trust with customers at the point of decision." The partnership is not exclusive. Trustpilot said in March that it was pursuing integrations across banking, insurance, utilities, and other ecommerce platforms. The Shopify deal is the first to be announced, and the company has framed it as a template for what comes next. Shopify merchants have long been able to display third-party reviews through apps, but native integrations carry more weight with both AI engines that scan product pages and with shoppers who are learning to distrust unverified ratings. A Recomaze study earlier this month found that AI assistants ignored 60 percent of online stores entirely, often because the product data was not structured in a way the engine could read. The timing also reflects a broader anxiety about review integrity. AI-generated fake reviews have become a growing concern across the industry, and Trustpilot has positioned its verification systems as a defence against them. The company reported removing more than four million fake reviews in its last fiscal year, using its own machine-learning detection tools. Trustpilot's shares have climbed sharply this year on the back of its AI-search tailwind, with Bloomberg reporting a 46 percent gain year-to-date. The company reported $16 million in operating profit for FY25, its first full year in the black after years of losses. Revenue grew 19 percent to $211 million. Whether the AI-search boom is durable remains an open question. The 1,490 percent click-through increase is measured from a small base, and the company has not disclosed what share of its total traffic now comes from AI engines. What is clear is that Trustpilot is betting its next phase of growth on being the source AI turns to when it needs to know whether a product or a merchant can be trusted.
