PMC Sales Representative

PPG is seeking a Sales Representative experienced in the coatings industry for our Protective & Marine Coatings (PMC) business segment in the Northeastern US market. This role will report directly to the Atlantic Zone Sales Director.   

Responsible for the US States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.  We are seeking candidates who live within the territory and are familiar with the market. 

Key Responsibilities

·Work with customers and distribution networks, selling PPG Coatings across all major segments with a primary focus in the Northeast US. 

·Achieve annual sales plans for sales growth and key sales objectives while leading costs, receivables, and expenses within required targets

·Maintain a good understanding of the market, customers, competition and developments within a specialized segment

·Respond to customer needs concerning product recommendations, application and performance.

·Manage distributor relationships including sales, people development, training, etc.

·Work within a team atmosphere to develop the market as a whole and maximize potential.

·Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years successful sales experience with a proven track record

• Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred

• Experience in the Protective Coatings industry

• Strong Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory; , up to 50% overnight travel is anticipated

• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review prior to hire

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and using a CRM platform/tools

This role offers a strong base salary, in addition to sales incentive plan/bonus.
