Requirements
  • Basic understanding of audiovisual systems.
  • Knowledge of AVIXA rack-building standards.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to complete the job.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested.
Responsibilities
  • Gather critical information from audiovisual hardware, including serial numbers, MAC addresses, firmware versions, software versions, usernames and passwords, and IP addresses.
  • Test and configure audiovisual equipment.
  • Update firmware.
  • Mock up systems in the laboratory according to engineer-provided drawings.
  • Build audiovisual equipment racks according to AVIXA standards.
  • Maintain the audiovisual warehouse inventory spreadsheet.
  • Maintain the audiovisual rack fabrication area.
  • Work with audiovisual programmers to push system configurations and programming to audiovisual systems.
  • Assist audiovisual engineers with testing audiovisual systems in the shop.
  • Package, label, and ship audiovisual systems after they are fully tested.
